How to Send Money From Maya to GCash
Make sure you have installed the Maya (PayMaya) app on Google Play or the App Store and have verified your account. Here are the steps:
First, open the Maya app and log in using your password. Tap “Bank Transfer” on the main screen.
From the list of bank transfer options, scroll down and select “GCash” as the recipient.
Then, enter the following payment information:
- Amount: The amount you wish to send.
- Account Number: The recipient’s GCash mobile number (11 digits, starting with 09).
- Recipient Name: The first and last name of the GCash account holder.
- Transfer Purpose: This field is optional; you can select “Money Transfer.”
- Recipient Mobile Number – Enter the recipient’s phone number to send them an SMS notification.
- Tap “Continue” to proceed.
Review your payment and, if everything is correct, press “Send.”
Enter the one-time PIN or OTP sent to you via SMS. In most cases, Maya will detect the OTP and enter it automatically.
Tap “Continue” to proceed with the transaction.
Congratulations, you’ve just transferred money from your Maya wallet to your GCash account. You will receive a text message confirming the transaction. Note the reference ID in case of any disputes or complaints.

For Transfer Fees and Limits, Maya charges a flat fee of ₱15 for each transfer transaction to GCash. This fee is deducted directly from your Maya balance. The maximum transfer limit via InstaPay is ₱50,000 per transaction. However, you can make multiple transfers per day as long as you don’t exceed your monthly account limit.
Fund transfers take only a few seconds in real-time and are usually immediately credited to your GCash account.
