Nowadays, transferring money between accounts has never been easier. This is especially true for Filipinos who use BDO, a leading bank in the Philippines, and Maya (formerly PayMaya), a widely used e-wallet.

If you need to transfer money from BDO to Maya wallet, you’re in luck! There are two convenient methods available: via BDO online banking and via BDO mobile banking.

In this article, we’ll walk you through both methods step by step, ensuring a smooth and successful transfer.

Transfer Money From BDO to PayMaya

Understanding the Transfer Process

Before diving into the specific steps, it’s important to understand the underlying process. When transferring money from BDO to PayMaya, you’re essentially initiating an InstaPay transaction.

InstaPay is a real-time interbank electronic fund transfer service offered by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the Philippines’ central bank.

This service allows for the immediate crediting of funds to the recipient’s account, making it a fast and efficient way to transfer money.

Things to Consider Before Transferring

Here are some key points to remember before initiating your transfer:

  • Minimum and Maximum Transfer Amounts: The minimum amount you can transfer from BDO to PayMaya is typically Php 500. The maximum daily transfer limit may vary depending on your BDO account type. It’s always best to check your BDO online banking or mobile banking app for the latest limits.
  • Transaction Fees: BDO may charge a minimal fee for InstaPay transactions. The current fee structure can be found on the BDO website https://www.bdo.com.ph/hong-kong/fees. PayMaya, on the other hand, typically does not charge fees for receiving funds via InstaPay.
  • Account Information: Ensure you have your complete PayMaya registered mobile number readily available.
