This image shows “how to access” the Social Security System (SSS) Online using a web browser such as Chrome or Firefox.

The My.SSS portal is an official online service platform provided by the Philippine Social Security System (SSS) to facilitate its members’ digital access to social security information without having to visit a branch office. However, some SSS members have complained that they often encounter problems accessing the service. When they try to access the SSS online information system, they encounter a mostly blank page. This is because the SSS website requires the Internet Explorer browser to run efficiently, and most internet users don’t use it.

While Internet Explorer still works well in 2018 and is pre-installed on most versions of Windows, in some cases, Internet Explorer is not installed and must be downloaded and installed first.

On the other hand, most Filipinos prefer to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to browse the web, and they don’t want to use an old and outdated browser like Internet Explorer.

Access SSS Online Information System Using Unsupported Browsers

The good news is that you can now access and log in to the My.SSS website using Chrome or Firefox if you don’t have Internet Explorer or don’t want to use it. Here’s a quick guide:

First of all, Go to the SSS website at https://www.sss.gov.ph and enter your User ID and password.

Next, Hover your mouse cursor over E-SERVICES, then click Inquiry.

Using the Google Chrome Browser
If you use the Google Chrome Browser, Click the shield icon on the right side of the URL or website address.

After that, Click “Load unsafe script.”

Using the Mozilla Firefox Browser
If you use the Mozila Firefox Browser Click the icon or button on the left side of the URL or website address bar, then click the arrow button on the right side of the pop-up window (see screenshot below).

After that, Click the “Temporarily disable protection” button.

So, if you encounter any errors or issues with the SSS online, don’t worry; just follow the easy steps above.

For your information, the SSS online website appears to be outdated and hasn’t kept up with rapidly changing internet technology. So, while they wait for them to update their website to the latest web standards, you can use this tutorial if you encounter any issues accessing the SSS service system.
